Mission & Vision
EU&U began in a university dorm room in Milan ahead of the 2019 European elections. It was born from a simple wish to get young people talking about how EU decisions shape their everyday lives. Since then, it has grown into a Europe-wide community of volunteers: students and young professionals dedicated to making European politics more accessible and inspiring our generation to get involved.
We believe that understanding how the EU works is the first step to making it work better for everyone.
Mission
We build a shared sense of European identity by connecting and informing young people. Through new media and community building, we raise awareness about how the EU works, show how citizens can get involved, and bring Europe closer to people’s daily lives. By linking local voices with the European conversation, we make EU politics more open, relatable, and diverse.
We empower young people to become active political actors by turning awareness into engagement. Guided by our manifesto, we advocate for the policy priorities of our generation. By partnering with organisations, thinkers, and activists, we amplify their expertise and insights to drive the solutions that can make the greatest difference.
Vision
To create a future European Union where young people have discovered a true shared identity and a sense of belonging, grounded in solidarity and the understanding that their future depends on standing together. Through access to information and mutual awareness, they recognise that unity is their greatest strength in shaping a better future.
Empowered to speak up and take part in politics, they are ready to shape the Europe of tomorrow: one that guarantees security, prosperity and a strong social foundation, while standing as a model of environmental leadership, respect for the rule of law and human rights at home and on the global stage.
After years of building our community and creating content to make EU politics accessible, we now face a changing political landscape where the values of the European project are being challenged and youth priorities are being sidelined.
In times like these, we can no longer simply inform young people; we need to mobilise them.
The EU&U Manifesto elaborates our vision for a better Europe and sets the tone for our advocacy actions.
